Semantic Index

Before you can perform operations on a document (such as an AI search or classification), it must be added to your Gainly Semantic Index.

The semantic index stores the semantic meaning (the underlying context and relationships) of each of your documents. You can think of it as a specialized container that stores the semantic meaning of your documents and makes searching through large collections of semantic meanings fast and efficient.

Index for Test vs. Live Mode

Your semantic index for Test mode is separate from that for your Live mode. This allows you to test freely without impacting the data in your live mode.

Reset Index

You can reset your semantic index at any time. This will remove all documents from that index (as well as metadata schema) and start with a fresh index.

  1. Log in to your Gainly Dashboard.

  2. Go to Settings > Indexes.

  3. Click the Reset Test Mode Index or Reset Live Mode Index button.

  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to reset the index.
